Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve answered some of the most common questions below. If you need help, please contact us at katie@brightpointresearch.com.
As a panel member, you may be invited to take part in a range of research activities, including online surveys, focus groups, video interviews, in-person research sessions, product testing and online community discussions.
Every study is different, so we will always let you know what is involved before you decide whether to take part.
This can vary. Some members may receive invitations more often than others, depending on their profile and the types of people our clients are looking for at the time.
There may be times when you receive several invitations, and other times when you may not hear from us for a little while.
Research projects often look for very specific types of participants. Even if you are an active panel member, there may not always be a study that matches your profile straight away.
Keeping your profile up to date gives you the best chance of receiving relevant invitations.
Most invitations include a short screening questionnaire. This helps us determine whether the study is the right fit for you.
Completing the screener does not always guarantee a place in the research, as some studies fill quickly or have strict quota requirements.
This usually means the survey has now closed. This can happen if:
the required number of responses has already been reached
the study has reached its closing date
the project has been paused or completed
Some studies fill very quickly, so we recommend responding as soon as possible if you are interested.
You can log in to your member account to view available surveys and other opportunities that have been assigned to you.
Please note that not all studies will appear for all members, as eligibility depends on the project requirements.
Your username is usually the email address you used when you registered.
If you are having trouble logging in, please contact us at katie@brightpointresearch.com.

Some research activities, particularly online surveys, may award points. Other studies may offer a different incentive, such as an e-gift card. The reward for each activity will be clearly outlined in the invitation or briefing information.
If points apply, they will appear in your member portal after your participation has been successfully completed and recorded. You can log in to view your points balance, check available rewards and redeem points once you have reached the minimum redemption threshold shown in your portal.
If the referral feature is active in your portal, you may be able to invite friends or family members to join.
